JROTC Night – The Challenge of Leadership

Lieutenant Colonel David Worley, United States Air Force (Ret), Senior Aero Space Science Instructor at Crescenta Valley High School JROTC, emphasized the leadership challenges and opportunities in the future to 28 Cadets, their Army Instructors and the winning school’s principal. Sixty-seven total Members and Guests participated in our Club’s recognition of the top three JROTC units from LAUSD’s Company Marching Competition.

The competition took place at Monroe High School on December 7, 2014, and the Awards Ceremony was in the same location on February 19, 2015. First Place: Monroe High School, Second Place: Verdugo Hills High School, and Third Place: Manual Arts High School. Also attending our Mess Night, in addition to the winning company commanders, platoon leaders, guidon bearers and their instructors, were: the All City Cadet Colonel, representatives from the LAUSD JROTC headquarters and the Principal of Monroe High School.
