President's Remarks
for the
2016 PAST PRESIDENTS NIGHT
MG Peter J. Gravett, USA (Ret)
With Independence Day upon us I take this opportunity to remind British United Club Members to remember the significance of the Day and at the same time be sure to enjoy the day with family and friends while wishing Happy 240th Birthday to the nation. July also marks the full start of the summer vacation season and whether you chose to travel across the pond to England or travel right here in California I encourage all to be safe.
I also remind members that July is an Open Mess Night and prospective qualified members are invited but also guests, such as spouses, who are not prospective Club members’ are also encouraged to attend. Our speaker, identified in other parts of this Bulletin, is expected to pique the interest of all and generate a robust question and answer period.
