We are fortunate to have Collette Weston, Her Britannic Majesty’s Deputy Consul-General in Los Angeles as our Special Guest Speaker. Collette will share some of the lessons she learned and the stories she collected in her supporting the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. She will focus on her postings and visits to India and discuss some of the impacts on the Commonwealth in 2017.
Current Posting: In the British Consulate-General of Los Angeles, she focuses on enhancing UK/US ties by developing, promoting and facilitating local relations across a wide spectrum - political, commercial, consular, cultural, non-profit and civil society.
As an enhancement to Commonwealth Night, the Irie Earth Steel Drum Band brings us Caribbean music for our social hour. Danny (aka “Irie Earth”) was born and raised in the Commonwealth country of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; and his partner “C.J.” was born and raised in London, England.
