Consul Jeremy Dicker
Commonwealth Night Program Ė Our Special Guest Speaker for Novemberís Commonwealth Night is Consul Jeremy Dicker, of the Australian Consulate-General Los Angeles. Jeremy is a career officer with Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and has held the position of Consul at the Australian Consulate-General Los Angeles since February 2017.
Prior to this assignment Mr. Dicker served as an Exchange Officer in the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supporting Peru's year as Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) host economy in 2016. Previous assignments include duty on: international legal issues in Canberra, DFAT's G20 Taskforce for the 2014 G20 Presidency and from 2010 to 2013 the Australian Embassy in Mexico City. He speaks Spanish and holds a BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Screenwriting from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University. He is married to Dr. Nicole Dicker, an international lawyer and development practitioner. Letís all be sure to welcome Consul Jeremy Dicker.
